right two things....a) does anyone else find it amusing that the acronym of saves the day is STD which is also the acronym for sexually transmitted diesese's? maybe just immature lil old me. and b) the first line of this sing sticks in my head like anything and i just realised why-because chris clever though he is nicked the first line form stageplay called blood wedding....if you ever get the chance check it tout...all i'm loosing is me is an endless tribute to it. the song is cool sorry if i offended anyone with my immaturity or my ability to see past chris's "genious" and into something a little more profound. and when did saves the day become the teeny bopper band they are now? that's quite saddening. |

my (bastard) ex-boyfriend always said NFg were "our" band (vomit inducing i know) and when i leant him my copy of the cd he wrote my name on the lyrics to this song. it confused me for ages until we broke up then it became alot clearer, to me this song is about a girl (in this case me) who's been hurt alot in the past and a boy(in this case my ex) and how the girl doesn't want any crap "be gentle boy you show a lack of charactor" which in less poetic terms is what i said to him when we first started out....as in "you're playing with something you don't understand". anyways in my opinion is about a girl who's more cautious in love than the boy and how the boy is in some ways exasperated by her caution but on the other hand infatuated with the bits about her he doesn't understand. just my opinion but meh :P |

to me this songs about someone coming to you for advice and you can't really say anything. i relate it to when me and this boy where half egttign together but he already was caugth up in a realtionship and was trying to lay it on me....and i was saying "well it's not my problem" as in -----"i've been on that ledge countless times and i know what it feels like/you're on your own/can't make it through this world all alone/ is this thing on?" as in sort it out yourself, you're on your own, i wont make teh decision for you. i don't know. just my interpriation. |
