i think that people need to chill out. the beatles were a band, and its members were JUST people that could play instruments. albiet this is a cool song but you dont have to get angry if people dissagree with you about the meaning....what THAT said...
this is the only beatles song i like, its great because it says alot. it means alot and its still fun, obviouslly like the songwriter and band...they have a lot of theroies on life but they're still chill and dont get upset about it.
all of you argueing this song almost ruins it because to me, the whole thing is about thinking and seeing important everyday things that resonate with your mind and having fun with them..... |

i think its about him wanting something serious and proposing to this girl. who's scared of commitment and is in denial over it. the song seems to be a bitter recount to what she told him when she turned him down.
it at least has to be about loosing someone you love because you are afraid of getting hurt |

this song is every night or afternoon i drive around with friends.alone even though im surrounded, not knowing where im going, just going and thinking about broken friendships. i had this realtionship with a friend of mine where one of us was always chasing the other...just at different times. it kind of ruined the friendship because i went and slept with another guy, thinking that it was over, and we really were just friends. This song is exactly how i feel when i think about it. its about wanting something back after it got screwed up, and being helpless to fix it. |
