it's b/c the way the lyrics in the cd jacket are different then they sing, and people are posting the way they sing instead of the way they are written. which i guess is fine cause then you dont get confused when you listen which i did the first time i listened to the cd. but the way they're written in the cd jacket, they make more sense and tell more of a story. |

this is my favourite song on the album. after 2:00 when they start the "we wont stand..." and the "think of all the fun you had..." etc, it gives me goosebumps! i love the entire album, i've been listening to it non stop since i got it. |

i love this song. i downloaded it after reading the lyrics and it just describes exactly how i feel about this guy right now. especially the whole, "i will wait for you." i've been waiting for him forever. and then:

is exactly what's going on now. he's never there and i miss him. this is our relationship exactly. |

i dunno, to me i always sorta took it literal because it applied to me more that way, like, a guy showing the girl he loves something that he's sort of kept to himself, and now he wants to share it with her. "i've been here before, but only by myself" is like, it's something he's never shown anyone, it could be something like an object or scene, i.e. fireworks, or it could be something about himself. |

i love this song, especially the "so which of the standard lines will we use, 'i've been meaning to call you, i've just been so busy, we'll catch up soon, let's make it a point to." it's so true, people always say that, but they never mean it. i listened to this song tons when i was feeling sad over a guy recently, it really described our situation. |

Maybe I'm not reading in deep enough, but I think this song is pretty much laid out in the lyrics. It's about a girl, Victoria or Tori, who just got out of a bad relationship and feels that she needs some time to regroup ("she says 'i might not be seeing him soon, i gotta few things i've been meaning to do'") and so she says goodbye to a good friend (the person singing, John or someone, whoever) and the friend is passing along the message of how he saw her and why she left. |

yeah, this song is definitely about a guy who hasn't been showing his real self to the girl he likes and is worried that when he does, she's not going to accept him for who he is. i think lots of people can relate to that. |
