I can't believe no one's commented on this song yet...it's an incredibly beautiful piece of jangly rock n roll. The lyrics are semi-dark and pessimistic, right in line with the rest of RTS, but the line "Where's the funhouse this year?" seemed to capture perfectly the confusion of waking up one morning, being a teenager, and finding out that life wasn't the grand adventure you thought it would be as a kid. Perfect little slice of melancholy. |
