I'ver perfomed this song a number of times and I think it's the simplicity ofg what is being asked for that makes it so powerful. It's aboiut understanding the need to let go and move on but wanting to look back at something comforting not as anger or tears. I see it also as a song about escapism and not wanting to face reality. Altho these two ideas are apparently in contradiction of one another I think they actually combine well and show the confusion brought by losing love. |

personally I make a religious link to it. It works for me as a wiccan because so often wicca is misunderstood and seen as 'bad', as 'witchcraft' but undereath the misunderstandings is a spiritual, pleasurable experience to be had. |
