My mistake (with my failed marriage) was that I did not truly live in and understanding the moment....and as a result I did not realize how bad the relationship and my life really were. I was oblivious to what was really going on in her mind, and never thought she'd ever really leave me. [How was I to know she'd ever leave] I didn't understand the signifigance of my actions [talking during your favorite song] and the signifigance of hers [your lies the other night]. To me, this song is about taking your lover for granted, and not facing the warning signs of an impending break-up until it is too late, when all you can do is reflecting on your mistakes, which is a lonely place to be. But, out of the loneliness and reflection, the song's message is that you're gonna be alright. Somehow, I know that someday soon, I will be alright too. |
