while he was not/did not know he was sick at the time of writing this song, it sends shivers down my spine when i listen to it. so much of it can be likened to someone fighting a disease they know they can't beat. specifically the first verse, about facing a sentence but having committed no crime, aids being the sentence, homosexuality the "crime". it seems very prophetic to me, and is a beaufiful song, no matter what you think it is about. its a great song about someone overcoming hardships, and i think almost anyone can relate to this. and i happen to like liza's version. wanna discuss butchering? how about axl and WWRY? |
