| I actually haven't heard any of the new PTW stuff yet, although I am definitley going to check it out. However, their lyrics for this album are really nice. I like the lyrics for this one... I think its about someone he cares about that is hurting themselves by letting people take advantage of them... most likely sexually... so it seems. Once my internet starts working better I am definitley going to download some of their new stuff.. cheers. | |

This song is fantastic, as well as every other song on the album. Tool is an amazing band. I think that like "hedonbass" said... Tool uses a lot of metaphors so that anyone can relate to what he's singing about. This song has made me feel really good when I've been feeling extremely low... Especially when he starts singing "be patient..." Because it reminds you that in time, things work their way out. |

This song is awesome... I was thinking about why "blood pigs" and I think I came up with something that makes sense! Wasn't Otep a victim of incest?? By her lyrics from Jonestown Tea and Unclean it seems so... so I thought that maybe blood pigs is saying that the man (her father) is a pig , from her own blood? | I hear the different lines as meaning different things. Hitting people on different levels. I see the lines "You wanted to", as talking about the decisions we make in our lives. We're here making our decisions, and Jesus made his decisions, so did God. When the song speaks of angels, I thought he was singing about people. That we are all angels, deserving to die, because of course we all die. So we must deserve it right? "Self-righteous suicide" may not be talking about about killing yourself off the face of the planet. You can commit suicide to a piece of your soul. I actually liked many of the comments on this page. Gives everyone a piece of unique viewpoints. I do believe that whomever writes the song writes it with their own meaning, but that doesn't mean you can't take your own view of this song, or any other. | |
