Just the feelings of a girl, alone. it mentions beauty alot..for some reason everytime i hear this song I get an image of a young girl with disabilities, just wanting to be beautiful. Or it could mean shes rotten as in terribly ugly but so beautiful or the opposite, shes beautiful...but theres nothing nice about her. damn deep interpretations :P I love jack off jill..i also run the official fanlisting for vivica. its just another one about god..and society, how society leads us. we're all just 'starfuckers' the inc part just proves it...its incorporated. The lyrics remind me of somehow society kissing eachothers and gods ass. |

Its about denial, the boy (representing society, christians, ect) is living in denial. Theres also alot of sarcasm towards god and christianity in general, one quote being "his perfect kingdom of killing, suffering, and pain demands devotion, atrocities done in his name "..which is beyond true. yet again..trent reznor has exceeded in showing he's talent. I think theres alot of hidden anger in this song. |

Its a terrible lie, the worst kind. he's talking on how he's whole life is a life as it were. as all of society is misled and lied to with christianity and "god". "Hey God, I really don't know what you mean seems like salvation comes only in our dreams" notice the "our"? this is what makes me think he's talking about society and not just himself. |

This song is the most important song to me ever, I think it describes someone going through depression perfectly..deep depression. How its a prison...and trent in the song represents the people surrounding the person within the depression. I know when i would fall into one of my neverending pit of depression i felt alone, although there was people..these were suffering just as much as me for watching me slip further away..as the song goes "I won't let you fall apart"..its not only about the person within the prison of depression but about the onlookers, the ones that hold on no matter what. Also, when i listen to these lyrics (and believe me I have, sometimes over and over) it describes how how it really feels when you have nothing left to live for. "she reads the minds of all the people that pass her by hoping someone can see"..this was the line that really struck me...its amazing how one man could actually describe the feelings so well. This to me, is the most beautifullest song in the world...its more special i suppose because it can be related to..this is gonna sound wrong but, when there was nothing left to go on for I overdosed..and attempted to make my way somewhere, anywhere. listening to this song the whole time, the line "she reads the minds of all the people that pass her by hoping someone can see" will always stay with me. |
