It's about a guy pissing off his girlfriend, and she is pissed off cuz he doesnt share his emotions with her (My emotions are something that i will always hide). And the story of the song takes place in 3 weeks (21 days). And each verse is about that week, ,which is why there are 3 verses. Any agree? |

I think this song is about losing a friend and how you dont understand how god could kill sum1 could when he should kill bad people but doesnt ("Cause if assholes could fly. This place would be busier than O'Hare ") And then realzing that you could die at anytime. And being afraid of not knowing when your're gonna die. Also, about how people try to make sense of death and can't and how people are afraid to admit they're scared of death. |

I commented on this song like 4 entries back and then i read reidy182's comment. But i think he was wrong about it being about a girl. "This bouncing baby boy's now turning baby blue." Im pretty sure quote refers to his friend being a kid and how when your a kid your innocent. And how his friend doing drugs killed the kid (innocence) inside of him. I dunno i dont know how to word it. If any1 thinks im wrong say what you think it means. I defiently dont think its really about a baby. |

I dunno, kavna, it really sounds like him losing faith in god when he was younger. And he started doing bad shit (ex. "But I’m better now having a good time Being selfish, and drunken, and vulgar, and lazy"). And I think the chorus is about the devil and how he does asshole things that make him (the devil) happy. ("Bless me dark father I have sinned I’ve done it before and I’ll do it again Cuz it keeps me warm, and makes you smile") How can that not be about how he does bad shit. and the end where he says "Whispering sweet nothings." That obviously refers to the devil on his shoulder telling him wut to do. You know how theres an angel on 1 side and a devil on the other. Thats how interpret it, idunno how else any1 could. Its a pretty straigt-foward song. And this song isnt really seriosu cuz matt skiba said himself he doesnt believe in any of that religious stuff, hes an atheist. |

I think this song is about a friend of matt skibas that died, but it was his own fault. He always did stupid shit that should have gotten him killed but it didn't. (drugs) "You had nine lives and one by one u chewed them up" that means he had alot of chances to stop doing dumb shit, but he didnt, and now his carelessness got him killed. "Your final coffin nail's been driven far too much" that means he should have died a long time ago for the stuff he did. "I've got a dying urge to feel the way you do" That means matt skiba wishes he could be as careless as his friend but he knows he shouldnt be.
