wow okay. that's one interpretation. ^
i heard it as; him and a girlfriend fighting, and i agree with some of the posts up there. he knows what to expect, he expects to get dumped. and the girl lied "feel asleep next to a liar" and "woke up with a shiner" "we beat eachother up just like we always do" basically, they're always fighting but he still cares about her; "when i'm talking to myself i'd always rather be talking to you."
maybe, she keeps hurting him, not physically but emotionally, and he's using a metaphor. "Call 911, I'm already dead but someone should be caught and held responsible for this bloody mess "
