what a beautiful song! i think its about a broken relationship where the man has realised he pushed the girl away only he couldnt see it before. "i knew your favorite things/didnt know one of them was someone else" such a painful line were he realises everything has gone wrong. "to me your dead/and it time to turn your page" this is trying to move on as there is no point lingering. sad, but beautiful. |

Rocket is an amazing song, i dont think people realise how much it says right from the beginning:"i miss everything i'll never be" dont we all want to be somthing we are not. "i torch my soul to show the world i am pure" is about being open and honest so people see us as we really are. "the moon is out the stars invite/think i'll leave tonight" when u were younger how many times did u wish u could fly away, im 20 and i still dream of reaching the stars!. "i shall be free/free from those voices inside me" everyone feels captive to others and themselves, and Billy is telling us one day he'll be free from it all. a great track from one of the best albums of all time. |

This Time is about the final break up of the pumpkins, one of the greatest bands ever - i realy must be told if its over (its hard to believe) - ive got to move it on/ive got to sing my song/while i still can (theres more to life than being in a band) - to never linger/what we are letting go. and of course - well wave hello and wish we never waved goodbye ( they will all regret breaking up and maybe they will reunite and it will be like they never parted). beautiful and a fitting tribute. |

Apparently it is about kurt cobain, Ed wrote it for Courtney Love after Kurt died - after he's flown away.

What a beautiful song, how can one man posses so much talent! Eddie surely is a god! Its always hard to understands what songs are about, mainly because they mean so many different things to different people. To me this song is about trying to move on when other people are holding you back and you are holding yourself back, even though u know no matter how bad things are, they can always get better. And maybe we should pay more attention to the little, unimportant things in life, the "rusty signs" and not turn our backs on them. thank you eddie. |

Apparently one of the band members went into a store in a small town and bought a pack on condoms, and the elderly lady behind the counter said to him "hearts and thoughts they fade away". If this is true or not i am unsure, but is a beautiful song about people changing, being afraid of change and moving from your comfort zone of the "small town". Isnt it funny how things we are sure we have never seen before, seem strangely familiar to us. |
