This New Year's this song is going to erupt alongside his whole album and other singles.
This is a great song and even if you don't have anyone waiting like Boarder12 said, its nice to possibly believe that someone out there could help you see all the positive there could be when you walk out of a relationship with someone bc of the breakup. |

Its a beautiful song really. Whether you're a guy or girl, and you hear someone sing this to you or even let alone just feel all this, then gee thats pretty nice and rare. A part of it might mean that you can take someone for who they are even if they come with obnixious family, drama, baggage, quirks, imperfections, the ability to do things that make you cringe, and alll that stuff and more. Thing is, even amongst all that, you like them.

musiecalin's absolutey rite..i heard somewhere that Sheryl wrote this song for Lance when they broke up...and i dunno if its just me but as someone who's not a huge fan of either of them but respect them as human beings for all that they are, all that they do, and the people we can see them for...I'm gonna go on a limb and say that the of them meeting did wonders for each of them and its just sad that it could not be.. |

I love what everyone's said...I actually first heard this song on TV when the Red Cross or another relief group was doing a black and white montage of pictures from Hurricane Katrina and I dunno if that commercial is still going...but even then in light of all the devastation...the song still represented endurance and the human spirit and quality that exists for one person to be there for another..it is truly what makes the world keep going.. |

This summer I heard this radio DJ introduce this song and say that this summer someone was gonna fall in love with a person of the opposite sex and have this as their song...and well, you could go back and read all the 31 people that this happened to...and I'm just glad it happened to me too...I'm really lucky that I am even able to like the person I do and be with her as much as I am and even though she's one of the biggest dorks in the world, I love her and am unbelievably happy she was born...the sad thing is that she's moving to FL...and while we're nowhere near that place now...I sure wish this didn't have to be..but, what I realize is that this is a song you take with you for a long time to come even if it leaves you heartbroken and lost..and I think those people that fall in love with someone and have this as their song, they'll have a much harder time parting with it |

anyone who hears the true lyrics of this song can see this isn't a depressing song...while it feels that way and feels like one of those slow rock songs, it really is a song about the hope that all of us wish to have when we break up with someone and the fact that it feels as though everyone around us is in a relationship..and wow when he says:

The part of you that wishes for someone in your life is also the same part of you that truly knows what you want in a person. You date all kinds of people and then one day you wake up and realize you're sick of it all.
