i think it's about taking a little souvenir with you when a relationship ends, keeping the love letters and the boost of confidence or whatever good u got, and keeping them in a little area of ur heart forever. Doesnt have to be romantic, could be family or friends even, who u dont see anymore. I have a friend who helped me thru some incredibly tough times and i carry a little bit of him in my heart always. Yeh, i have no idea what the songs about either Lizamrtnz, i'm just pulling out the images and ideas that come to me ( i mean, demons? haha) Does anyone else think that perhaps "To a precipice of fate" could maybe be "To oppress a piece of faith/fate..." |

haven't really examined this song but the first thing that came to mind for me is that he's waiting for this girl to tell him that she's knocked up. Like he suspects she's knocked up coz it's her 'time' but she's 'late'. He says he won't leave her alone in the 'pitch [black] night' but she has to tell him coz he can't stand the suspense. haha i dunno. |

| I'm not entirely sure what the "slow down" line is, but NEKAI, although i like your idea of "slow down i let you" being another way of saying " i let you down slowly" i actually think it's more like "now i select you- slow down- i let you see how i stun" I think the 'slow down' part is a little command on it's own and the 'i let you' part is actually the first part of a sentence that continues in the next line. | |

The feeling i got from this song is of a woman unhappy in a relationship. Their relationship and home may seem fine but they're just playing their parts and she's lonely and wanting more. hands away- be my man...... hands are her tools for cooking, cleaning etc. She wants him to see her as more than that and be her romantic lover again I can almost imagine a scene in her mind where she's maybe doing the dishes and he comes over, pulls her hands out of the water and looks deep into her eyes and kisses her like he's seeing her for the first time again. serve it up, see abt this ham..... trivialities of daily life oh what happened- when did they lose the spark, when did she become so lifeless cover's blown... they know they're living a sham. Hey and i just had another idea.... mayyybe it's about a woman who is married to a man and she's realised he's gay and only married her as his cover and to be his housewife. Sounds far-fetched but thats what happened with my grandparents. |

This is one of those 'first impressions' things and i'll probably go back over it and wonder what the hell i was thinking, but: It sounds almost like a demon or something (no wait, keep reading! haha!) talking about taking ppl or taking over society thru drugs and booze. Like addiction has taken on a personal form. These things make me think of that: ~draped in wires- puppet, under the spell of addiction ~Leaning on the brakes- trying to end it (ie trying to stop the behaviour but unable to coz theyre really a puppet to the addiction) ~ dealers on the take- duh ~ meeting hall- like AA ~sweat and shake- symptoms of withdrawal ~ hearts that bleed and break- targets the vulnerable etc etc etc |

Well, i think this song is about opening up and not being afraid.Not hiding your problems away until they consume you ( hehe....thats me,guilty) Good vs evil, ur conscience,etc. Interesting..."children LEAVE ur lights on" implying this "light" is something we lose as we grow older and more cynical. Anyways, I LOVE this song,I could listen to it for hours(which i almost do.lol) Oh,and I want to have Everlasts babies too.lol. |
