'About the Brody controversy'? What a joke.
It's about Josh's relationship with Nick, and kicking him out of the band despite their longtime friendship. Nick's destructive and excessive habits tore them apart and was hurting the band. So he got booted. |

Josh Homme is really good in bed. Ha, I dunno, but I'd bet my life that he is. And boy would I love to screw him. Hawt. |

Well, good for everyone else's interpretations, which are all basically the same (except for that Carlito's Way one, interesting). But he's a brand new one for ya.
Yes, we all want to be someone else and whatever, i get that. But my point is from the second and third verses, if you call them that. It seems like a strained, violent relationship. Like, you want them (you want me, fuckin come on and break the door down, I'm ready...), but the violence is sort of a turn on, get me?
I don't know about everyone else, but the whole concept of telling someone to break the door down if they want you, sounds erotic in a way. I can't really see past that. |

I think that the first verse is very personal. Maybe it is about when he was assaulted. But the second verse is more of an approach to the world in general. I remember reading in a interview that Thom said that it was like a "nervous breakdown" and the whole wolf at the door thing is like something from a fairy tale, you know, cos he fears for his kids now. This song refers to several different aspects of Thom's life. |
