This song is definitely about his disorder. From personal experience I can understand these lyrics. Bipolar disorders shifts from one extreme to another. In this song he describes going from happy to sad..even on the verge of psychosis(finding God)..He brings up about the sexual energy that comes with mania and other drastic things. Lithuim is a mood-stabilizer that keeps the highs and lows in check. This drug doesn't help everyone and I was on it for several years and did not find how it could be a good drug to be used recreationally. People were just pumped up about it after the release of this song, even with alcohol it did not affect me recreationally. |
