This is my favorite song, and I hate seening the place where we are suppost talk about what we think its about screwed up because idiots like xfesty who barge in here and make fub of it. Xfesty, let me point out that not all Linkin Park fans waste space by making emodicons all day. You however have made yourself look like a fool when you felt the urge to say that undenyably stupid phrase "MEYBE UR FRINDZ HAV FOUND BETTAR MUZIK DEN LINKYN PARK AND UR A FAG LoL" Not only are there severe capitalization errors but when did "AND UR A FAG LoL " come into play. I guess I can assume, as you did, that every fan of your favorite bands are stupid because one of them, you if you havent already figured it out, is a total dumb ass. |

I know that I am getting into this conversation kind of late but I think that some of you people have serious problems. If you are going to ridicule Linkin Park for making the big time then I can assume you are ass holes. To say that a band and its members are "stupid", "sell outs", "5 minutes away from becoming a boyband", or even that the lead singer is trying to copy another person’s way of singing (where the hell you came up with that one I will never know) just because they sell CDs and are well known, is ridiculous. They sell CDs because their music is good and a lot of people can relate to it. There songs can compared with many different situations because that is how they are written. They are about raw emotion, which I, personally, think makes them deeper than a song about one specific situation that can then only be applied to that one situation. Yeah, I admit, there are a lot of teenie boppers out there who will buy Linkin Park CDs thinking that it will make them cool and hard core. But that happens with every band, and those of you who think it is unique to Linkin Park should clue in and know that it is universal and that it happens to bands like Metallica, Slipknot, and got knows how many others. You will see that later on the teenie boppers will go away once LP is no longer mentioned on every “hit station” (speaking of which how many stations do you know of that don’t say something like “we play rock/pop/punk/various hits) whereas true Linkin Park fans will remain fans even after they are not as popular or well known as they are now. The people who come on here and make fun of Linkin Park should know that you are not changing anyone’s mind. If anything you are making more people like them more, just to piss your rude asses off. This site is about song meaning, not how much you hate bands I’d be willing to bet, some of you have never even given a shot. You probably just listened to what everyone told you and stereotyped them as posers. (Which, may I point out is the exact same thing than preps do when they are told that “Justin Timberlake is hot”, “Avril Lavign (sp?) is ,like, so the punk princess”, and that “rock is for losers”) So why don’t you guys grow up, get a life, and let Linkin Park fans tell what they think the song is about instead of saying how much you hate it. |
