I think this is probably the finest song on (_) - although untitled 4 (called 'The Nothing Song' I believe) is also wonderful. Musically it is outstanding and the vocals, whilst not being in any specific language, add a great deal to the song. They act as another instrument in my opinion. |

I think this song is stunning. The section beginning "X will mark the place...." is especiallly breathtaking. I think the song is about realising that a relationship is not working and that there is not intimacy between the two people involved in it. "X will mark the place..." is presumably referring to when the couple finally split. Whatever it is about though, I think this song is one of Radioheads finest post Ok Computer efforts. |
