this is one of my favorite songs. I hope he releases it on one of his future albums, I dont want to buy the In Good Company soundtrack just for this song :(
The obvious meaning of the song: Sounds like he's singing to a girl he dated, and he wants her to remember him, everything about him, including the good and bad times. |

It should say 'Luv your life' in the lyrics too...I think the reason it's spelt that way ties in with what Daniel was trying to say in 'Miss You Love'...That people use the word Love way too much and forget the true meaning of the word. |

Oh yeah, I also really like the video to this song. Did you know that's Guy Pearce playing the sleeping man? Anyway, one quote that appears in the video (but isn't in the song) is really good: "The moon doesn't have any light of her own...she only shines when the sunlight hits her..." I also like the black-and-white/silent movie style of it. |

The song was written because of a dream Daniel had. He met a man who was on his death bed in the hospital, and there was nothing the doctors could do for him. Daniel sang this song (Across the Night) to him and he was cured. When Daniel woke up he quickly wrote the song down. It is one of the few Silverchair songs that were written in one attempt. |
