This song is basically about Transfiguration. Mental evolution once again. Mind over matter. Has anyone heard of the Fibonacci number theory, dealing wiht box numbers well for those who don't here is alink to "Lateralus and Fibonacci" it's a very interesting finding. Aside from the 46 + 2 and Jungian Theory this song deals with evolving and even to those who don't know much about 46+2 and The Jung's theory it's quite evident this song deals with evolving and developing, not physical evolution but mental and metaphysical evolution. For those who are interested in reading about 46+2 I would suggest picking up "You are a Spiritual Being Having a human Experience" by Bob Frissel it talks about a wide range of ideas which Tool have incorporated into their songs, and art as well i.e the flower of life. Another thing, some one brought up about Maynard and religion I don't think that maynard denouces god either. I think he does criticize the church, some followers and such but god he has never criticized. Tool I think embraces a wide range of religions, more specifically eastern philosophies. |

| This song reminds me of my ex boyfriend. Words similar to those of Tom's were spoken by him when he came to visit me at the hospital. I cry everytime I hear this song. But I love it so much. It's very touching. And it makes me think alot about things. Thank you Tom for writing this beautiful work of art. | |
