I think this song has to do with Jeremys discouragment in God. The angel turns his back on the man for a while, which is a hard hit, but the man always comes back. The angel says he is married to his pain but offers no help for him, just (words) and thats when he screams out words...its so unclear in the song |

I think this song is definitely about drugs. Wasting our lives (novicane)...novicane numbs you, like drugs. The pain would help you rise and overcome and become better or wiser, but "here we stay" because we dont even try to overcome, we just get high. Drug use is like "running from our lives" a clever game. "selling our time" is time wasted getting wasted, plus you could be making your life shorter. I dunno thats what i get out of it. |
