This is my favorite CAKE song, it's so sad, yet so triumphant. Even though he has al these great memories, he knows he just has to walk on by |

dave likes to change the words of his songs all the time, like the 50 million versions of granny. it could have quite possibly been true in a live version |

actually the andy warhol line is referring to the famous quote of warhol's "everyone gets their 15 minutes of fame", i think the song is about changing everything about yourself because you're famous, something the band is totally against. |

the word where the question marks are is evascenciate which is a tense of the word "evanescence" which means to dissapear. just a little FYI.
I also think that the thing missing is jesus because that's just what the meaning says to me. I love this song though and john says it's the second best song he's ever written next to 3x5. awesome song |

| Dave Matthews Band – Pantala Naga Pampa Lyrics
| 22 years ago

Pantala Naga Pampa is an Indian phrase for "There is a python in my pants." Dave had an Indian chef who would randomly yell it out and Dave would yell it back. The song was originally untitled and they couldn't leave it that way so he humorously named it "Pantal Naga Pampa" I don't think he knew what it meant |
