| this is my absolute favorite song ever written... the writer hasn't finalized anything... he's so confused. he's never felt emotions like these - yet he realizes they are not mutual... he doesn't want to let go of all he's found - while he knows the consequences might be great.... he tells us he knows this - but what are a few consequences compared to the intense emotions running through his head... he knows it's wrong - but he's thinking about it anyways.... | |

as i listen to this song - my body is taken over by an overwhelming sense of urgency, coupled with that dreaded feeling of longing for something - while not knowing exactly what it is your heart and mind are craving.... this song is also incredibly poetic... they've turned "soulmate" into "my distanced destination of choice..." and the title itself is very symbolic of the craziness experienced by the 3 components of the body that manage love: the heart, one's feelings, and the mind... each trapped by this invisible force responsible for the writer's longing... eventually it becomes so intense that it burns and you can't escape it.... hence the title "Caught in the Sun." that's just my interpretation..... take it how you wish |
