this song is so beautiful, and i think its about getting yourself in a what seemed like a good situation at the time, but then in the end it was a bad stiuation, and you cant get out, and frustration eventually just turns to anger, and then the people or things in that bad situation dont even care, and they dont help you at all......"cut me loose".......yea, that doesnt make very much sense...im just rambling... |

wow, i have never seen so much disagreement about a coldplay song b4....it can be interpreted many different ways (obviously...) but i dont know, now i have these three ideas in nmy head, LSD, commmunism, and worries. i think i should go listen to it and decide which one i agree with...haha....altho im pretty sure its not about drugs....the guys in coldplay dont seem like crug addicts...but then again..who knows... |

great song, the song has already been described so i just want to say that i love coldplay and im totally obssesed, and its weird, becuz ever since i listened to their new cd, i loved, and then i listened to parachutes, and i loved that too, and i can't stop listening, and it seems that anything i else hear now just sucks....i suppose i have been brainwashed...:-) |

i personally dont think that this is one of coldplays better songs, but i do think the lyrics have a deep meaning......but then again thats like every coldplay song ever....all their songs have deep meaning. |

i love the part at the end where he says "they spun a web for me" over and over. you keep thinking theres going to be more words after that, but theres not, and he leaves it up to ur imagination to figure out what hes really saying.
and speaking of that, in a way, the song is mroe about how somebody causing someone alot of trouble, either on purpose or an accident, but either way, the somebody never really apologized, or acknowlged the pain they caused that someone, and now, they've spun a web, in order to have revenge...... |

the first time i heard this song i didnt really think much of it, but when i listened to it a second time, i listened to the words, and the whole meaning of it just hit me. it would be so wonderful if everyone would accept eachothers differences no matter what, and it would be so wonderful if making friends was simple, and it would be wonderful if everything was simple, and nothing was a problem. i can realate to this song on so many levels, i love how it can mean so many different things to different people for different situations. this song leaves me speechless. and at the same time leaves me with so many emotions. i think its because of how it ends. it stops sort of abruptly, with "i wanna live where the sun comes out" but at the same time it's perfect for the song. |

i totally agree with okteds interpretation of the album..i didnt think of it that way until i read that.....anywho, when i first heard this song i didnt think much of it, but i listened to it again, and i really listened to the words, and it just kind of hit me. it's just saying that life would be so wonderful if everyone was nice to eachother no matter what, but we never change, do we? |

After reding all these comments, my view on the song has kind of changed...which is kind of depressing....because when i first heard it, i took it in a more general way.....i took it more as a song about the world...wars, and kiling and all that stuff included.....but i dont think that it is solely about that......but what do i know.....:-) |

okay, first of all, i have just recently discovered that COldplay is one of the best bands in the entire world. and i say this becuz they write such powerful music and lyrics, that, i dont know, it's truly amazing.........this song is really cool, although i havent been able to figure it out either, but theres a certain satisfaction in a song when it's so poetic and deep, that you can't figure it out. :-) |
