this song is amazing.. the cello in the beginning is so beautiful. i remember the day that i first heard it because i fell in love with it immediately, and then that night i went to a party and we all slept outside.. i stared at the stars and heard this song repeating in my head for hours. now every time i hear it i think of that night.

I have the same version of the song that you all are talking about, where he talks at the end about making up a song, and its definately John Mayer...it may have been written and performed previously by someone else, but the version i have is amazing. I saw him in concert last November and I think he played this song...I can't remember. Regardless of whether or not he wrote it, its a great song! |

This was one of my first DMB songs and it is also one of the songs that got me into them. I agree with other posts that say its about the loss of innocence or dreams. It gives me the chills how amazingly talented Dave is at putting emotions into words. DMB ROCKS! |
