i don't care how many people have said this; stupid people anger me. those who are keep repeating the word 'cocky' due to the lyrics in one song: your interpretations mean shit to anyone who knows vaguely what they're talking about. if you're in it for the music, you're in it for the music.
anyway, i happen to like that theme in the cd. it sets a great mood throughout the album and it just makes them more unique. what other writer would subject themselves to what everyone is ranting about in these posts? i'm sure they anticipated it. i agree completely with failurebydesign117 with brand new being so damn innovative.
so people, stop downloading. go buy the nine dollar cd. |

i hate when people copy lyrics into their post for no apparent reason. anyhow, the ballad - extremely addictive from the start. especially the forget list he rants during the last thirty seconds, yeahhhh. the buildups, frusteration, and the partial lack of pronunciation throughout the song is just too perfect. |

consistently the unique tbs sound, although i definitely see them developing in this song. i love when they make references to new york heh. actually, let me ramble here...off the new deja cd, they make a reference to montauk point, and yes that makes me happy as well. eh i'm done. |

yes, picasso's guernica is beautiful. i wasn't sure if that was were jesse got the idea from, but i do hope you're right on that guess.
the deja album on the whole - amazing, it's just so unique to everything out there and and different from the last cd, although their old songs definitely do have a raw young sound that i've fallen in love with as well. hm, can't even say anything else, they're not even comparable to eachother... congratulations guys, another awesome production. |

my interpretation of that line is that the guy is down on his knees for the girl and despite his attempts to please her or correct things in the relationship, nothing will change - she won't see his point of view even if he goes to all ends to try to get through to her how much he really does love her.

ah, a personal favorite. i would definitely say that 80% of the times that i've listened to this song it has been fast fowarding to the forty seconds or so when antonio and jesse are dueling toward the end of the song. "when you went away, you said you'd be coming up my front porch, just to see me."
yeah, i get sick of the comparisons to everyone's lives as well but i have to be a hypocrite for this post. that line completely reminds me of the nights my boyfriend would end our phone conversations abruptly with "i'll see you in five", take his mom's car and drive it over to my house, and those few brief moments were just...sheer bliss - of not wanting to get caught, of wanting just five more minutes, just one last kiss before he left. :) |
