I think the operator metaphor is about feeling disconnected with who you want to be with. The titke, little black submarines, is about how he feels in his head like he's inside a submarine and can't get out of inside of it. He hides there sometimes when things get tough and disconnects himself from reality. |

this song is great because the lyrics are so simple and easy to understand; its a guy who can't get over a girl and as much as he tries to get passed it he is always defeated because she will always be the only one to him.
what makes this song great though is the psychedelic, upbeat 60's sort of feal in the music and the singers decision to sing it in a high falsetto type pitch, and when you really listen to everything, you'll notice there's so much going on! organs, drums, guitar, faint whistling noise, echos, etc... |

comparing this cd to Tell all is like comparing Brand New's Deja entendu to Your favorite weapon...
in my opinion this cd is better than tell all your friends
I think this song is about a guy who lost his girlfriend to like a "bad boy" type of guy and he is angry cuz he is the gentleman of the two guys...its like a nice guys finish last situation and he isnt happy about it |

This is such a good song...im glad they put a song like this on the cd because it shows theyve grom from tell all, like they dont have to have the huge anthem on every track.
After John Nolan Left the band I did not expect them to get better because Straylight Run is so good so I expected John to take all that was good from TBS with him. The New guitarist can really write good songs, a copmpletely different style than Nolan , as you can see in this song. Im glad the new TBS is better than the old TBS and is just as good as Straylight Run(john nolans band)
This song itself is so much better than the first cd.

The CD is VERY VERY VERY good. this song is probably the most different song on the cd. this song reminds me of the strokes a little. This band is influenced from sixtees and seventys bands like Echo and the bunnymen or the beach boys.

The second half of the song is more about someone who is about to leave.
I dont think this song has any real meaning I think they wrote the lyrics just to match the mood of the song. Still this song is awsome.

This is a really cool song. I think its about telling someone to get out there and feel good about yourself. Then I think when He starts saying "Im on my feet im on the floor im good to go..." He is talking about that person who should feel better about themself and that person is him. Then when He says "I wanna Fall in Love tonight" he is saying when he is good and confident he wants to fall in love.
Oh and I think the line "Crimson and Clover, over and over" is wrong I think its "Crimson and Clovered over and over" |

The demo version of this song i think is a lot better than the album version. The album version is so upbeat and loud where as the demo is more calm and i think it sounds more meaningful. All the demo tracks of maladroit are better i think, but this is only my opinion. |
