surprised there is only 3 comments. first time i heard this song , i didnt really fully appreciate it. but the way his voice sounds is so frustrated that is true. its like hes trying to get across a message to someone but they wont listen. "Cause I am only half, of what I am, And half of that is what, the lies can do, Where the rest is, I don't know, And I'm not sure if I wanna know." i think this could be about how no one really knows who they are , we just perceed to exist , hes not sure he wants to know who he is . i dont really know ,its a pretty hard song to decode, but the build up at the beginning is great. its a very beautiful song , because it all seems so unsure , but i think it might be about love. |

Im not sure if anyone has said this coz there is so many posts on this board tht it wud take so long to read them all , so : this is what i think. "Scar tissue the I wish you saw" - something thats left a scar on his emotions and that no one can see Push me up against the wall - physical abuse? Fallin' all over myself To lick your heart and taste your health - doing all that he can to do something for someone else Soft spoken with a broken jaw - i always thought this line was "self spoken" which i thought was better , coz i thot it mean like somone who spoke for themselves and paid a price for it , but i guess not I'll make it to the moon if i have to crawl - absoulute determination to prove something wrong This song reminds me of one of my boyfriends tht i had , he put me down without even realising it and this was the "scar tissue that i wish u saw", he also fit the next line being the "sarcastic mr know it all " but yeah , i gues alot of ppl say things like tht , man i dont no if ne of tht makes sense :) |

| For me i reckon this song is mostly about self improvement and self hatred.. improvement for the comments that have changed about the person , and hatred for the blunt reality " a pig in a cage on anti biotics ". the use of the computer generated voice is to show how a dead voice can hold so much emotion and meaning. | |

I agree with duff here. "Beauty lies inside the eye of another youthful dream that doesnt sell its soul for self-esteem" This has pretty much got to mean , what people think is beautiful is just young niave dreams .. the real "beautiful" people are the ones who can just be themselves no matter what. |

I think this song is about a fatal disease taking over someones body , and the disease is narrating the song. pretted screwed up but thts what i first thought of. "ill be you ether youll breathe me in you wont release" they will breathe in the disease and never be able to let it go. the effect of being told about something so life changing and never being able to think the same again "well ive seen you suffer, ive seen you cry the whole night through" could be someone grieving over the fact that they are going to die. "ill be your father, ill be your mother ill be you lover , ill be yours" is how the disease is going to take over everything she/he has and affect everything that she/he knows. "and i'll be your anchor , youll never leave shores that cure" meaning the disease will hold he/she back in whatever they do, it will never leave them to live a normal life. I dont know, this is just my weird mind working here |

I think this song is about anorexia. Or a form of eating disorder like that ("protruding hips and skull, and spine ribcage cuts a clear outline") "my wasp in a jar" is how it is something you have control over. You can decide whether you let the wasp go , or whether you leave it in the jar to die. You can decide and control what you eat. |

I think this song is about a guy , who uses "the bends" as a metaphor to describe how much he loves someone "where are you now when i need you". The " my blood will thicken " could be related to the bubbles that release into your blood when u dive and get the bends . I think he has recently been let down by his friends and so he doesnt consider them as real friends as he placed more trust in them. He feels emotianially instable becoz of something people have done to him " i wanna live and breathe i wanna be part of the human race" Or i could be entirely wrong |
