| 12 Stones – The Way I Feel Lyrics

Well, rvdwannabe, I suspect that you and I are the only ones who think like that. I never thought about it any other way until I was looking up the lyrics to use in a fic and read that they were Christian...even then, I took it like Evanescence - Christian members, rock band.
Of course, to me, not everything is about god. Then again, I'm Wiccan, so...yeah. |

The first few times I listened to this song...it sucked. Big time. But eventually, it began to grow on me...like mold or something. ^_^ |

I think it means that someone's giving their partner the illusion of ownership. S/he wants him/her to not hide who they are anymore and to show how they feel, giving them more control over the "dominant" party. |

Maybe it's about fisting...maybe it's about drugs...maybe it's about desensitization. Interpret it how you want to - everyone's got a different opinion. And plus, it's Tool...it could be any one or all of these things. |

| Evanescence – Bring Me To Life Lyrics

Evanescence is a rock band with Christian members. Fucking deal with it and try to stop labelling them. As with most bands, their beliefs do make their way into their music - it wouldn't matter if they were Christians, Satanists, or Atheists - but that doesn't mean they are a Christian band.
And they are *so* not a female Linkin Park. If that's what you think, you haven't heard anything else but "Bring Me To Life." Try listening to "My Immortal" or "Whisper" to get a better idea of what they're like.
"Bring Me To Life" is a great song and all - I love the way Paul and Amy work off of each other - but it is nothing compared to their other work. "My Immortal" is their best song ever! |

| Finger Eleven – Slow Chemical Lyrics

Yes, it's a great Finger eleven song. Yes, it's Kane's entrance theme. Deal with it. Half the time, these days, a wrestler's music doesn't even totally have to do with the character unless it's redone slightly, anyway. Just look at Victoria, her music ("All The Things She Said" by t.A.T.u.) is actually about a girl's forbidden love for another girl, but was remixed enough to make it enhance her intensity and "pet coon craziness" as JR would put it.
And the song is on the WWE Forceable Entry CD, apparently replacing "Glass Shatters" by Disturbed (SCSA's music) from the original WWF Forceable Entry CD...but don't quote me on that. |

This song is so fucking awesome... It emotes feelings of anger and sadness, grief and loss of hope... Damn, it packs a punch to the emotions. |

| AFI – Girl's Not Grey Lyrics

Okay, I don't see how AFI are sell-outs. All bands want exposure - how the hell else are they supposed to reach new fans as well as old? How the fuck are they supposed to make a living? People said the same thing to Metallica when they made the video for "One" and just look at where they are now! They're still fucking gods in their own right!
I freely admit, I'm not some die-hard AFI fan. In fact, before seeing the "Girl's Not Grey" video on Fuse, I'd never heard of them. That's got more to do with the fact that I don't listen to the radio much, I don't watch any kind of music TV often, and I live in a pissant backwater town, so I'm not exposed to a lot of music other than what I occasionally hear on the radio, have recommended to me by friends, or come across on the internet. Hell, I haven't even been to a concert since I was in the fifth grade...and that was to see Martina McBride, Little Texas, and Mark Chesnutt!
Unlike many people, it seems, I have a totally different theory on music. If I like something that I hear, I'll listen to it more. Doesn't matter if it's rock, rap, classical, or pop (though I'm not inclined to pop). Think whatever the hell you want to think - but don't bitch at everyone else when a band gets some well-deserved exposure. |

| The All-American Rejects – Swing, Swing Lyrics

A song doesn't have to be a feat of lyrical genius to resonate with a person. Dear Goddess, how many people were singing along with "Barbie Girl" not too many years ago, thinking it was the most clever thing ever? AAR has a catchy sound to it; not one generally I prefer, I admit - but they did get my attention with "Swing, Swing." When I bought the CD, that was the only song I cared to hear...then I listened to "My Paper Heart" and I was hooked. |
