the above comment said it all. "the day the music died is" the day the musical artists/groups buddy holly, richie vallens, and the big bopper died in a plane crash while on tour. most of lyrics are about how the people mourned and the country and mainstream music forever changed afterwards, and how saddened the songwriter is by that. |
