This song really hits home for me.... To me it means that even though you've endured pain through losing someone very close to you, you wouldn't change it because then you would've missed all the good times by distancing yourself. I cry everytime that I hear this song. The lyric above is what does it....I've lost so many people that are close to me in the past few years and I'm only 15. The thing that brings me to that set of lines in particular though is that two of my close guy friends died in a car accident. I had only seen them hours prior to the event that cost them their lives and I felt for a long time that if I had only suggested something for them to do such as staying at my house or something, the accident would have never happened and they would still be here today..... Life is rough....but you just have to take the ups with the downs and you'll make it through |

i'm a fairly new OLP fan, but I have to say that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this song. This is the song that made me a fan. I don't really know what else to say. Oh yeah, baseline, this song was a single. I've seen the video, not too bad, but not the best OLP video I've seen. |

I used to not like this song, but now i do. one problem, you guys are all distorting the meaning of the song. hollypeptide, the lyric "5 years from now/ she sits at home/ feeding the baby/ she's all alone" She didn't have the baby with the "skater boy". If you look at the lyrics, it clearly states that she wouldn't have anything to do with the boy even though she secretly liked him because of what her friends thought and because of the boy's "punk" image. She obviously went for someone else with a "cleaner" reputation and got prenant and then he left her. So Avril's message to her is that even though someone may have a certain image, they may be the complete opposite once you get to know them for who they are, and if you don't take the time to do so, you may miss out on something big. Anyhoo...I like Avril....it's good to see a girl on the scene that doesn't look or act like Britney or Christina. |

| i remember listening to my friend donny's radio show when this song first came out and some girl called the radio station and insisted that the lyrics to the chorus were "i'm blue, if i was green i would die" i just had to share that because it was the stupidest thing i had ever heard. LoL. | |

| this song to me means that you love somebody so much that you do anything and go anywhere to be with them. i love this song, it's one of my favorites. it also scores brownie points with me because vanessa's from milford pa, which is about 10 miles from my house and she's a friend of mine :-) LOL | |
