I agree with OrangeSteamboat, but to take it further i think it deals with a breakup and maybe the feeling of self destruction. "Best to defile, best to stay sleeping, in a while, i will awake to be a has been" I will awake to be a has been, seems very sad, but i love the humility. Also, i like how it changes in the second bridge from car keys, to heart keys. it's subtle but i always get caught on that line, "when i lost your heart key, strange how your not with me" it happens to us all, makes ya think for at least a half hour, just on one line, brilliant. |

A great song to relate to. Especially the lines "And i've a grenade with out names scratched on the side but that's just love and you know love's not enough" its really sad and brutally true. If anyone's been in that situation where it feels like a battle, but there's still love.. you know it's not enough. Also, the lyric "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile" Sounds like "even I can get lucky once and awhile" i like the humility. In the end its just dark love baby |

I think it's about a relationship with a girl and being tired of being on edge, the whole "on again off again" Ross and Rachel relashionship shit. The feeling of always being close to the end of a relationship and having to coax her back again and again. IT's all very exhausting |

Probably my favorite MGB song. I love the lines "Do you drift off, to wake up," sorta like do you sleep just to wake up, it makes ya think. Also, "do you always hit the brakes," I like that philosophy of not holding back all the time. |
