this song is all about how girls feels at the beginning or even in the middle of a relationship....i mean, by me, im not even in one, but i can relate so much. im always nervous when it comes to talking to the guy i like, and i know that that goes for almost every girl. not all of avrils lyrics have such a deep meaning, and this one doesnt really either, but they are good. it brings back good memories too. |

its pretty freaky that the lines of this song are telling my heart without me even trying!! when i sit down to write my own songs i am so tempted to actually start my song with the lines "I cannot help it, I couldn't stop it if I tried. The same old heartbeat fills the emptiness I have inside...and I've heard that u cant fight love so i wont complain cuz why would i stop the fire that keeps me going on.." damn its like other people's words describe my emotions better than my own.....i think this is sad, and this person is in love and feels that she has to give up but really cant because "why would she stop the fire that keeps her going on?" Michelle Branch is my favorite female artist ever, and she is extremely talented especially in song writing. she is my idol and i look up to her so damn much. michelle branch fans, rock on!! |

Yeah NoSnobsAllowed is right!!! (lol hey tamar i checked it out...)neways well my personal interpretation is that this IS about girls being bitchy to eachother....cornflake girls are the ones that are popular while the raisin girls arent the popular ones and so the story goes on. but tori amos is talented in writing, singing and playing the piano so i respect her a lot!! her songs may not mean much to you the first time, but obviously they have a really deep meaning. |

I absolutely think that this song is beautiful....the melody is so like relaxing and really emotional. This is a song that is for someone close that's passed away from the writer, and she's saying that the person is immortal inside her. Evanescence rocks, check out My Last Breath--great song. |
