I have to agree with TimBuck2, leave these kids alone! Not one of us is perfect and we will stay far from it if we continue to focus on this trivial shit like where someone shops or how they dress. I personally have never seen a hot topic but when i was a kid if I found a store that would sell me say a NOFX shirt I would have been there buying it. Instead of creating rifts between us and the newcomers we should embrace and try to educate these guys, I don't see how more punks, or even just like-minded people is a bad thing. At a propagandhi show I was at last week, there were, I'm sure, some of your "hot topic poseurs" that bought tickets there and all the proceeds went to a battered womyns shelter (like a lot of punk shows) and I can't see how having more people there supporting a noble cause is bad, or as you guys say "unpunk".... Remember UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL. |
