"I honestly can't understand how you pulled a chirstian meaning out of this song..." If you have halfway decent analytical skills, it's not very hard to do. Really, it's open to interpretation, and all three (God, fans, relationship) could be supported with evidence from the song. Isn't one's faith in God a sort of relationship? If the song is aimed at the object of affection in a relationship, could that not be God? Now that I think about it, a band and its members has a sort of "relationship" with its fans as well... Keep in mind I'm in NO WAY religious. So don't try to hit that angle with me. As for my opinion of the song: I'm a sucker for the piano, and I think the way he sings over it sounds incredible. Excellent. |

Yes the lyrics written above are pretty incorrect. Look in the CD jacket. They're printed in there. And I agree with prayingmantis84's analysis (above). There are some awesome lyrics in this song. It could have been written so much more simply, but I think it reflects the complexity of the situation. They also make the song a mile deep, I love it. "Kiss me with your cherry lipstick, Never wash you off my face..." Am I looking too deep into these lyrics or are they pretty sexual to anybody else? Hmm...maybe I'm a sicko. haha. |

| Hmm I think Atreyu8604 sounds pretty familiar with the punk stuff that "sucks ass." What a hypocrite! (And why is he looking in these lyrics anyway if he's not interested. FLAMER!) I like tons of other forms/kinds of music and the ones I don't like I don't go trash. I assume that Atreyu8604 is into some kind of more hardcore rock...and there's not always "deep lyrics" in that either. Please correct me if I'm wrong on that one. (I'm not so don't try.) But as for this song...kicks ass, its a fun song and the guys are hella funny - the video rocks; makin fun of Limp Bizkit and Staind (like both bands a LOT, but I also have a sense of humor), and the chick in the vid is frickin hot. Also learned to play this song the other day. Very fun. That's more than 2 cents so...peace. | |
