I first thought of the whole "deflowering" theory when I first heard the lyrics, but after seeing the music video, I thought the video represented the seven deadly sins: Pride, Envy, Anger, Avarice, Sadness, Gluttony and Lust. Maybe the song lyrics and the music video are portraying different meanings. At any rate, the songs does seem to have a biblical theme, as does the title of the album. |

have you noticed that Rivers seems to be of a great intellect. He has hidden meanings, allusion, and who knows what else scattered through his songs. Maybe he read The Giver as a child...as many of us seemed to... and just felt like tossing it in. The song could be bits of his life... reading the giver, talking to his bro, remembering grandma, getting a letter from his brother. and some how old forgotten toys manage to still creek some how... we had a horribly noisy toy, left it out in the rain, snow, ice, what have you, and a year later we heard a terrible noise through the window... turns out the toy was groaning on its own, same old batteries. It could be an old toy(memory) groaning from the bottom of the box (pit of his mind) but who knows... Rivers is tricky and he's either a master mind or incredibly simple... and we just read way too much into his gibberish. |

I love the Wedding vid and i hate the animal one. Which was made first? I noticed Mikey Welsh wasnt included in the animal one. That was crappy... but i read he was in a psychiatric hospital at the time and left the band after that ... so he would have missed the wedding one if it wasnt already made... but why would they make the animal one after they already had a stellar one with the wedding? |

actually i think mark knew that this might happen... like the popness... he actually quit the band for 5 days because he didnt want to do this song... well he came back... they hit it off big with this song... then he got a tatoo in honor of the song and how well it did and i guess he got a taste of popularity and wanted more... and more money |

dang i think they kinda did go a little pop on this song but this is the first song i liked by them and they have some stellar other songs(older stuff) ... but what i really what to know is WHY DID THEY SAY "MY LITTLE WINDMILL" WHAT IN THE HECK DOES THAT MEAN!!??!!?? ...and i am amused that they used the word commiserating. |
