to me this song is basically about thinking and caring about things WAY TOO much. the first line "i think i'll go home and mull this over" he's going to extensively ponder something although he knows it's meaningless since "far above our heads are the icy heights that contain all reason". kind of "you can't makes sense of it - because IT MAKES NO SENSE!" the last line is my most favorite "building nothing, laying bricks" and again it speaks to me that people make assumptions to things and are totally wrong in their assumption. trying to find meaning and reason, when in reality there is none. it's life, and life is random and unpredictable...not calculated and planned. ummm..i may be FAR off but that's my take.. |

i love this song! this is my take she likes a girl thinks "she's the one for [her]" but this other guy likes her alot too and she's "she's all he's ever had".. and they have something is common: they've both taken the girl to movies! but looks like the bisexual girl picks the guy, eh? anyone have any other takes??? |
