"It was nice of Songmeanings to remove my posts. This sounds like something that would happen in Soviet Russia. Instead of promoting possibly conflicting ideas, they act like Pravda and removing anything that could be against the status quo. Hooray for America right? I mean, without the first amendment, many artists wouldn’t even be able to make some songs. Thus, Songmeanings may not have been so big. So the same thing that protects the content Songmeanings is based on is denied to me? Way to go. You guys are real Americans [the owners, like myself are American]. For everyone who was looking for my old posts, I may have a way to resurrect them. -It really is inconvenient being so goddamn right. When Galileo said that the earth revolves around the sun and not visa versa, he was labeled a heretic and places under house arrest. I just get my posts removed. Fancy that. -R" Yes, you have a First Amendment Right to say basicaly whatever the hell you want, no matter how pointless, irrelevant, and generally stupid it is. This does not, however, mean that Songmeanings is obligated to waste their bandwidth by keeping it up. To compare Songmeanings' decision to remove your posts to KGB-esque actions is almost as hilariously wrong as your attempt to portray yourself as a Galileo-esque martyr. Believe it or not, I actually agree with some of your points about the general childishness of the whole rap culture. By and large, as a result, I avoid the whole genre. However, I'm not so narrowminded as to immediately write off every song that is produced by a rapper, as from time to time a song like this one, or Tupac's "Unconditional Love", comes along. "Like Toy Soldiers" is a song that I heard once, and felt compelled to come here to get the backstory on it. It tells a story, and a pretty fascinating one at that. As for the people who say that they have a hard time buying Eminem's whole act when he himself instigated so many of his feuds, I can definitely see where you're coming from, but my personal take is that the man is simply growing up. He's at the right age to be doing it, and I bet a lot of his priorities are starting to shift. There's nothing wrong with that, and who he was 5 or 10 years ago shouldn't disallow him from it. |

This is the alternate version that I have: "I drink you up for every drop of you is sacred every drop I drink you up you fill my cup the way you laugh, eyes of a child, lean on me you fill me up. You make me love, So unconditionally generous to me you give me love. And break my heart, slip you fall, I'll pick you up and dust you off, you break my heart Rain, rain, rain down on me Again, and again, rain down on me And take all you want, for what is mine is yours. no better use isthere for what I've got. Take what you want, And only hope can I you won't deny your love for me, my love. Oh don't cry, if it's too high, I'll lift you up we'll make it, make it. When I was, so so tired, you came along to wake me, wake me. Time and time, again and again, with a smile you save me child oh, oh oh Rain, rain, rain down on me Again, and again, rain down on me (How come we play our cards)? And I question by the grace of love, we play our cards at all. Come fill me up, Oh fill me love, when I'm empty, when I'm all dried up Oh don't cry, if it's too high, I'll lift you up we'll make it, make it. When I was, so so tired, you came along to wake me, wake me. Time and time, again and again, with a smile you save me child oh, oh oh Rain, rain, rain down on me Rain, rain, rain down on me" |

| Amazing song. Maybe my favorite. It's hypnotic. | |
| Dave Matthews Band – Seek Up Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| The song is really really good, but at the same time I found myself wishing for a little more.... subtlety? I dunno, I guess it just isn't my style. Good song, but to me it has nothing on the likes of Warehouse or Two Step, | |

| The Lilywhite Sessions version is actually very good. I've used it to get more than a few friends hooked. | |
| Dave Matthews Band – Stay (Wasting Time) Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| I agree with mrshako. To me, Stay was DMB's most meaningless, dull song.... until Everyday came out, which had at least 5 more to rival it. Thank god for Busted Stuff, I was starting to lose faith for awhile there. | |
