My best friend and I would always sing this song in the hallways of our school. It was a way of being productive. Cheers, :: Kat |

| The Calling – Stigmatized Lyrics | 22 years ago |
|
It probably is about a gay couple, and these two lines sort of gave me that notion: "Even God himself and the faith I knew Shouldn't hold me back, shouldn't keep me from you" A lot of Christian faiths do not believe gay relationships are right, and shun people who are, in fact, gay or lesbian [as well as bi-sexuals.] The lyrics above are stating that this man who used to be a part of a congregation or parish would rather be with the other man he loves, than continue with his religious journey. And he doesn't want the religion he used to be a part of to hold him back from being with the other man, just because it's wrong in their eyes. Make sense? No? I figured. XD Nonetheless, I usually don't think about the song relating to a gay couple when I listen to it. It's a beautiful song though, I love the lines: "I believe in you Even if no one understands" The energy, and the emotion displayed in this song is truly amazing. The Calling is a wonderful band. | Third Eye Blind – Deep Inside of You Lyrics | 22 years ago |

I think the lyrics represent love and lust combined. As people have mentioned before, the lyric interpretations could have two meanings. It's a sexual song, yes, but it also deals with how this guy has become invloved with a girl, a very special girl at that, and how he's "deep inside of her" .. like he's feeling her emotions. "Friends say I've changed I don't listen cause I live to be Deep inside of you" It's almost as if the guy has become obsessive, and how he's changed because of the relationship with this girl. But then things started to crumble and now he's unsure of what to do. "But then I want to call you cause I don't want to crush you, But I feel like crushing you" It's very sad, really. Beautiful song though. Cheers, :: Kat |

| Jason Mraz – The Remedy (I Won't Worry) Lyrics | 22 years ago |
|
In a way, it could be put under the category of "sad." Sometimes when I listen to it, I'll think about my boyfriend, and get a little melancholy. But when Mraz sings the chorus, I get chipper again, and that happy feeling remains with me for most of the song. I agree that the lyrics mean to not let things pull you down and make you feel worthless - you just have to live life to the fullest. Wise words, I must say. Cheers, :: Kat |

The acoustic version of this song is really cool. But either way, the song in general is great. It reminds me of camp a year or two ago - my friends and I used to sing it aloud together, and headbang as well. Yep, back in the day. =) Cheers, :: Kat |

| Simple Plan – I'd Do Anything Lyrics | 22 years ago |

It's a catchy, bouncy tune. Personally, I don't find it bad, and I actually enjoy listening to it every so often. The lyrics may not be very complex and deep, but it at least has some meaning in it. No one is expected to like the song, s'all good. I find that the lyrics are basically self-explanatory, but I just thought I'd pipe in my opinion. Good old pop-punk. =) Cheers, :: Kat |

| The Goo Goo Dolls – Sympathy Lyrics | 22 years ago |

This song has always been a favorite of mine, ever since I bought the Gutterflower CD. The guitar definitely adds something to this song, and you can hear the emotion in John Rzeznik's voice. The lyrics are so powerful, and yet the song is quite soft and slow-paced. I agree with those who posted before, the song is most likely based upon a failed marriage or relationship, and he [meaning John, I suppose] is apologizing for all of his mistakes. He's also looking for a place to call home, and since he's become a well-known celebrity, he moving from city to city, performing and trying to get accustomed to this new life he's choosen to live. Great song. Cheers, :: Kat |
