Pink Floyd – Welcome to the Machine Lyrics 21 years ago
My view of the song is a little different from most of these. To me it seems like its just talking about how when you're a young, you think you have everything figured out and you want to grow up to be rich and famout. "you bought a guitar to punish your ma...you didnt like school, and you know youre nobody's fool". And in the end you have no choice because it is not up to you whether someone picks you to be a big rich and famous rockstar and you must grow up and do exactly what you thought would never have to. "Welcome to the machine" is basically saying, "youre not a kid anymore, welcome to the real world you can either get a job you hate or be poor and homeless and not be able to do anything you want...your choice"

Nirvana – Aneurysm Lyrics 21 years ago
this song actually wasn't originally done by nirvana. It was originaly written and performed by an old 80s punk band kurt was a big fan of called Dr. Know. So any review would not explain why kurt wrote it, but maybe what his point of view on it was and why he chose to play it.

Nine Inch Nails – The Perfect Drug Lyrics 21 years ago
This is a good love song. The only thing is, it actually is a lovesong to a drug. During the time he made the song Trent Reznor was using an alcohol like drug called "Absent" that was made illegal in the early 1920s. It was used in a movie recently called Murder by Numbers. In the music video for this song Trent dresses up like Edgar Allen Poe and has an Edgar Allen Poe theme to the whole video because both Reznor and Poe are incredible artists who are inspired/consumed by Absent.

...just thought i would clear some of that up...
