Thrice – See You in the Shallows Lyrics 23 years ago
I've been hearing alot of the same stuff about this song. I was wondering if anyone else thought that maybe that it's about a girl and how he was pondering thoughts of sucide b4 he met her. Because he talks as gravity as a her. And as we all know gravity is what keeps us from floating away. Maybe he's kinda in the middle. Like he wants to because he doesn't ever want to think again, but he's not going to because gravity, his g/f, kept him planted right here on earth. Just thought i'd put a different veiwpoint in.

Alkaline Trio – Private Eye Lyrics 23 years ago
thanks dancing potaoto for the meaning. And to all u other people arguing on wether or not people who watch mtv2 deserve to listen to punk, grow up. You have to start off listening to punk somewhere, and if it isn't from mtv, it's from a friend or a sibling. You'll never start to like a band on your own unless u've actually been to their concerts. It's funny how you all act like u've been a total punk rocker all your life, i mean look, u're on this page arguing on wether not alk3 is ok for EVERYONE to listen to. If they're playing on mtv, let me assure u, everyone is listening to them anyways, so grow up.

Shakira – Underneath Your Clothes Lyrics 23 years ago
shakira was so much better before she made her cd in english. She used to actually play rock. No she plays pop. But i guess the money can influence you. It still sucks.

The Juliana Theory – If I Told You This Was Killing Me, Would You Stop? Lyrics 23 years ago
Like Dale said, this song is about a relationship gone array. I think that it's between 2 friends however, cause he says hold your tounge BOY. And after a friend hip breaks, one of the friends usually tells the deep dark secrets of the other.

Midtown – Frayed Ends Lyrics 23 years ago
this is one of midtowns best songs. Some of their other songs sound the same, but this one sets itself apart.

Fenix TX – Threesome Lyrics 23 years ago
I think that he is just saying that some other girl wants him and he's just reassuring his g/f that she's the only love he'll need

AFI – The Boy Who Destroyed The World Lyrics 23 years ago
Im not a big fan of A.F.I. but this song rocks. I guess this song is about how age and experiances can affect your life, and take away from your personality.

Lagwagon – Making Friends Lyrics 23 years ago
This song is one of lagwagons best. It touches on hints of depression and that he is finaaly breaking out and seeing how fake everyone else is around him. This was one of the first songs which inspired me to like punk rock.

Rancid – Roots Radicals Lyrics 23 years ago
This song clearly is making fun of the U.S government, how they contradict themselves all of the time. It also has shows how high speed everything is in the U.S and that reggae music is revolutionary just like Rancid.

Millencolin – No Cigar Lyrics 23 years ago
This is one of my all time favorite songs. It's about someone who's giving up on trying to fit in. It's the story of everybody's life. What else can I say, Millencolin rules.

Ace Troubleshooter – Misconceptions Lyrics 23 years ago
I agree with calin that people do hide behind the facts that they are christians, and think that if they are religious it automaticially makes them free to do whatever they want. This song also could have been written in lew of all the religious wars in the middle east. Overall this song is good and makes you think.

Taking Back Sunday – Cute Without The 'E' (Cut From The Team) Lyrics 23 years ago
I think this song is very good and deserves the credit it it should get. It may be the classic emo song written about a girl, but it's very edgy and definitely seperates it self from other songs by it's lyrics and it's lacking of the speed riffs that pollute many punk bands today. Their new cd is a "must have" in your collection.
