| Enigma – Morphing Thru Time Lyrics | 22 years ago |
This song is my favourite Enigma song. It's amazing. It sort of just tells you, you cannot have the answers to life, you'll never know what will happen, you just need to 'morph'/go through and continue to grow through time. |

| Beverly Klass – Temple Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| I love this song, it's so beautiful. | |
| Beverly Klass – Temple Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| I love this song, it's so beautiful. | |
| Morcheeba – Fear And Love Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| This song is so beautiful. I guess it probably doesn't have many comments due to the fact it's not that well known. :-/ | |
| 50 Cent – In Da Club Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| This song is very deep and beautiful. HAHA. I actually like it, despite the useless words. | |
| Trik Turner – Never Be The Same Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Ahh, I love this song. It's really good. It's just about being hurt and so on. It's fairly simple, I suppose. | |
| Pink Floyd – Echoes Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| This is my favourite Pink Floyd song. | |
| Pink Floyd – Welcome to the Machine Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I totally agree with HOFspeedwolf. In my view songs mean different things to different people and this song for me means like: life is so typical and repetitive, and it's like were all robots, views are instilled into our head, etc. And it's like he's welcoming his son to adult life. You have to work, have to do this, etc. |
| Jewel – Sweet Home Alabama Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Ahh, I like Jewel, but my god... Her remake of that song was abosutely terrible. | |
| U2 – If God Will Send His Angels Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Beautiful song. | |
| t.A.T.u. – How Soon Is Now? Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| I was suprised they did the cover so well. I found it much better than the Smith's version, and I actually like The Smiths. | |
| t.A.T.u. – All The Things She Said Lyrics | 22 years ago |
What the hell is wrong with you saying all Russian women are sluts? I for one am certainly not a slut. They may act sexy, but who cares? They are not 'pre-pubescent', they're almost fully grown, they just have young faces. They're legally adults now. 'American Russians' and Russians actually in Russia are very, very, very different. Don't start saying things unless you know what you're talking about. Also, you may not be very culturally aware, but Europe is alot different than the USA. Sex and sexual things are not a very big deal there. Just like the French singer Alizée. I guess French people must be dirty whores also, and the rest of Europe, eh? Grr. Sorry, I had to let that out. I first heard of Tatu a few years ago, and have been a fan. I don't really care if they're lesbians or not. But actually for those of you who do not know: In an issue of Maxim [sp?] [a Russian version] they admitted they are BI-SEXUAL and they also confessed they both have boyfriends and their boyfriends are proud of them and so on. This song is really good though. I could care less who wrotes it or whatever. I like the lyrics and I think alot of people can relate to that. Being ashamed of something you can't help and wishing you could just escape with the person you love but everyone is against it. |
| Ryan Adams – Wild Flowers Lyrics | 22 years ago |
This song is actually my favourite Ryan Adam's song and it was the first one I ever heard. I'm so happy I decided to listen to it by chance. I found it on my friend's roomates music folder while visiting her at university and then I decided to put it on a cd, since I was trying to get together songs that I didn't know and finding new music to like. One of the best choices of my life. ;) And I relate to this song alot. |
| Ryan Adams – Come Pick Me Up Lyrics | 22 years ago |
Really good love/hate song. It's like she fucked him up so much emotionally already and he's so desperate for her, and doesn't care what she does, he just wants her back at any cost because it's almost as if she couldn't hurt him any worse than she already has. Ryan Adam's is amazing. |
| Jewel – America Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I guess this is from Jewel's new album. I haven't actually listened to it yet, since I haven't been a big fan of Jewel's new stuff, but I like these lyrics. I've never been a fan of America, I going back to my 'home' sort of, but this sort of reminds me: everywhere people are the same. Everyone cries, everyone laughs, in every country people get high, etc. It's just life and Americans are just the same as anyone else. They're not above or below anybody. |
| U2 – Sunday Bloody Sunday Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Well done song. Beautiful. And it really tells how sad terrorism, war, predijuce, etc is. | |
| Enya – Wild Child Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Do want you want, don't be afraid if it's too wild or not normal, live life and be happy. Don't let everything get you down, look around and realise there is alot to appreciate. | |
| Ryan Adams – Call Me on Your Way Back Home Lyrics | 22 years ago |
Beautiful song. I agree with ajdaho. This part always reminds me of my 'first love' and I think it can remind alot of people of their first love: 'Oh baby why Did I treat you like I did Honey, I was just a kid Bubblegum on my shoe But you loved me And I loved you.' It's easy to look back on memories and blame yourself, especially in this sort of subject. I used to think that if my 'first love' and I would of been older and more mature it would of worked, but it actually wouldn't have, but it's easy to look back and say things could of been different. And it can make you feel like total shit, and I can totally understand that. A very, very beautiful song and by far my favourite Ryan Adam's song. |
| Jewel – Pieces of You Lyrics | 22 years ago |
'You say he's a Jew, does it mean that he's tight? You say he's a Jew, do you want to hurt his kids tonight? You say he's a Jew, he'll never wear that funny hat again. You say he's a Jew as though being born were a sin. Oh Jew, oh Jew, do you hate him Cause he's pieces of you' This part always gets to me. I almost think it's about Hitler, because he was actually Jewish. I have no idea if Jewel meant that, but I just thought I'd add that. |
| U2 – Alex Descends Into Hell for a Bottle of Milk/Korova 1 Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I've never actually heard this U2 song. The title is interesting, because Alex is a Russian name [Alexandre], and Milk // Korova is 'cow' in Russian. I don't know, I just found that weird and was curious. |
| U2 – With or Without You Lyrics | 22 years ago |
My first ever U2 song, so it holds alot of memories for me. Being around age 2 and 3 and being obsessed with Bono [which was one of my first words, haha!] A very beautiful song. I think the meaning is simple. Just listen to the song. |
| Jewel – Amen Lyrics | 22 years ago |
In my opinion this song is about: A girl seeing she's a sinner. I mean with the reference to fire and the rest of the words in the song and even the rest of the song has alot of religious/christian reference. It's about how God sometimes let's you down or doesn't meet your expectations all the time, and almost questioning if he exists. And how the church tells you you're sinners and going to hell until you change yourself for something you can't see and even if it doesn't feel wrong they 'brainwash' you into thinking you're sinning and once you're older you feel guilty and it's hard to get rid of the 'values' instilled in you at such a young age. 'Where are my angels? Where's my golden one? Where's my hope now that my heros have gone' And this is saying like, 'Where was God when I needed him? Where did he go? Why didn't he help me? Why isn't anyone rescuing/helping me', etc. I have no idea of the meaning to Jewel herself, but for me it's about how religion is something you want, and God is something you want, but you want to be free of it and all the guilt it gives you and you're almost somewhat bitter that God wasn't ever there for you and you don't know where he/she went or if he/she was ever even there. Songs always have different meaning for different people though. But it's a beautiful song and one of my favourite Jewel songs. |
| Free Fall Astronaut – Looks Like Another Cloudy Day Lyrics | 22 years ago |
It's somewhat well written, but it seems like a Bright Eye's rip off. 'And now I've locked myself in this closet With my old friend a bottle of cheap whiskey I'll drink alone yeah, I'll get real drunk And I'll forget your face by the morning' That sounds like the closing lines to 'It's Cool We Can Still Be Friends'. 'So I'm pouring some whiskey, I'm going to get drunk. Yeah, I'm pouring myself some whiskey, I'm going to get real fucking drunk. I'm pouring some whiskey right now, I'm going to get so so drunk, pass out, forget your face, by the time I wake up.' |
| U2 – Beautiful Day Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| This song always cheers me up. It gives me hope. Bono is a genius. I love U2 and I'm happy they've sticked around for so long, you don't [actually I don't think I've ever] see that. | |
| Nickel Creek – Reasons Why Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I love Nickel Creek. I've been a fan for a really long time. I by chance was flipping through the tv and came across the music video when it was debuting, and ever since then loved this group. Beautiful and calming music. I love how there is nothing out there that is mainstream that compares to them. There is bluegrass/folk, of course, but nothing that became so popular. And I was even more suprised to find out they've been singing this sort of stuff all their life and weren't interested in being some pop group. |
| U2 – New Year's Day Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Personally it's my favourite U2 song. It's a beautiful love song. U2 is an amazing band. | |
| Jewel – Fat Boy Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I totally agree with neitzsche 66. Alot of people use being funny or making jokes to cover up their own pain, and that is what 'fat boy' does and I think everyone has done it at one time or another. 'Fat boy goes about his day, Tryin' to think of Funny things to say, Like, "This is just a game I play", And, "I like me this way", Oh, fragile flame, When no one feels the same' This part is so touching and it reminds me alot of my boyfriend. He isn't fat in any shape or form, but he's really self consious. I actually judged him for being somewhat overboard silly and sometimes even rude/mean in the beginning, but it comes down to people and trying to deal with them and yourself and everyone has something their ashamed of or have lack of confidence about. It's a really touching song. |
| Gillian Welch – Time (The Revelator) Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| I love this song and I love Gillian Welch. | |
| Elliott Smith – Needle in the Hay Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Beautifully depressing. I love this song. | |
| Jewel – Enter From The East Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Beautiful song. | |
| Jewel – Angel Standing By Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| I agree with marrissay. It's a really beautiful lullaby. It shocks me how amazing Jewel's first album was. Ahhh. :) | |
| Dar Williams – Iowa (Traveling III) Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Ahh, I love this song, but this may be because I'm in a way 'from' Iowa. Beautiful song. | |
| Enya – Only Time Lyrics | 22 years ago |
Beautiful song. I adore Enya. I know alot of people in my town hated this song, and for my best friend's graduation it was actually going to be their graduation song, but she started a huge protest and the like and they switched it to a Green Day song. Bleh. I think this songs does/could have alot of meanings. Lyrics and music are something everyone relates to in a different way, just like thoughts, journals, etc. It's a piece of your heart almost, and songs can have so much meaning to someone they could never be able to explain. For me it helps me out when I'm sad, like alot of Enya's songs. It's comforting. I may feel lost and unsure of who I am, where I come from, where I belong, etc [some things I really struggle with], but life isn't worth giving up yet, some things just take TIME and only time will give me answers and in the end I am optimistic enough to think everything will be okay. |
| Dar Williams – The End of the Summer Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I'm amazed no one has commented on this song other than eleven24eleven and myself! In my opinion it's one of her best songs besides 'Iowa'. :)) It's simple and it's beautiful. And I love songs that tell a story. |
| Jewel – Adrian Lyrics | 22 years ago |
This is such a beautiful and touching song. When I was around ten or so, Jewel was my obsession. 'Pieces of You' was one of the first cd's I owned and this song was the one that was always on repeat. Eventually my mum got so tired of hearing this song that she threw my cd out the window. ;) It's by far my favourite Jewel album. I'm only a fan of her first two cd's, the more recent ones in my opinion weren't as well done and simple. And that's one of the things I love about this song. You don't need 500 instruments and add crazy sound effects to make it beautiful. It was simply done with heartfelt lyrics. I love songs that tell a story. |
| Radiohead – Creep Lyrics | 22 years ago |
An amazing song. I think there's more than just teenagers who can relate. I mean anyone at any age can feel worthless, especially compared to someone you hold in high esteem, and love or admire. This song is the ultimate 'I'm a fucking loser and I don't deserve to be in your presence.' songs. And everybody can relate to those type of songs because we all have/had/will have those feelings. |
| Enya – May It Be Lyrics | 22 years ago |
Enya has always been one of my favourites, even when she was in Clannad. It's a beautiful and touching song. I listen to it when I feel like I can't go on anymore and live isn't worth living. Sometimes life isn't about yourself, it's about others and sacrifice and waiting for the 'up's after the downs'. |
| Clannad – I Will Find You Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I first heard this song when I was really, really young from the 'Last of the Mohicans' soundtrack, that movie was my absolute favourite. It introduced me to new age music and Enya. If you didn't know; Clannad is a group ran by [I think, correct me if I'm wrong] by Enya's family. I know at least a few of her family members and herself as well are in it [were]. This song is absolutely beautiful. I think saliva may have a valid point. Music has different meanings for everyone, I think. For me it reminds me of my boyfriend who is really far away right now [luckily he won't be for much longer] etc. But a beautiful song, definitely. |
| Bright Eyes – Tereza and Tomas Lyrics | 22 years ago |
This song is so beautiful. I love the part: 'Forget all the mistakes my love they won't be made again. Leave the photos in the drawer, my love we no longer need them. We both know where we've been.' It reminds me alot of my boyfriend. It would be so nice to escape from your past and this song comforts me a little and helps me to think it's possible. |
| Travis – Me Beside You Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Aww, I don't know why anyone hasn't commented on this song. It's beautiful. :)) | |
| Emilíana Torrini – If You Go Away Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| This song is really, really beautiful. | |
| Bright Eyes – A Spindle, a Darkness, a Fever, and a Necklace Lyrics | 22 years ago |
This song is one of my favourites. I relate to it alot. Like the beginning when the little kid is speaking. It's so obscure and you wouldn't think something like that could be beautiful, but it is. And I feel like Mitchell. Sometimes you start to hate life and where you are and I've always been a constant drifter. 'and placed it round my neck and they were singing, Don’t you do what you’ve wanted to. Yeah, don’t destroy yourself like those cowards do' I think this probably has something to do with just overall depression and possibly drugs or alcohol or something. Because earlier he says: 'don’t degrade yourself the way I do because you don’t depend on all the shit that I use to make my moods improve' Well, in my case that would be drugs and alcohol. I look at alot of songs in my own way that applies to me. That's what music is all about. It relating to you in some way and making you feel better or improve your already sad mood. ;) |
| Bright Eyes – Amy in the White Coat Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| This song is really creepy. But I love it. Like toxiclove said: the beauty of this song makes me feel like a bad person. And I really relate to it. My cousin Amy was actually joking with me about how this song was 'my' song, not hers [her name is Amy, it's obvious.]. Ehh. It's really tragic. And I know what it's like to be the girl in the song. | |
| Bright Eyes – The Center of the World Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| I agree with Lunetia. I relate alot to this song. I think music is alot about what it means to you. To me it's about someone who isn't living their life, but is. The whole centre of the earth and so on is symbolic, I think. It's like one of the 7 [or 8, I forget] wonders of the world. And sometimes it's like you want to go away but then you realise going away wasn't solving anything and everything is the same no matter what you go and all the little things in life follow you. I don't know exactly how to explain it. That's just what it means to me. | |
