He also talks about how he can't fall in love, and boring the doc, and himself again a shrink deals with shit like that. I love this song. The song is about have trouble dealing with your emotions and how he should fix himself, not so much physically but mentally and how he can he feel love again. I think, becuase of the title he has been using alcohol to numb the pain, "I have no desire to see through my own eyes" I LOVE YOU ALL

I love this song it has some great hidden meanings, but first i just want to clear some lyrics up , sorry for being a dick about the small errors but I think they should be corrected, "It's a valid reason for every drink" "Can't go outside anymore when it's raining" and I love this song, the part about "And a new tattoo is a new reason to think He likes to pretend that he is all sewn up It makes for a much stronger case But there is blood underneath that skin That scar is not so easy to erase ". It could have something to do with the actual tatto, I mean I believe there is another symbolic meaning of emotional scares but it could be also taken as He likes to pretend that he is alright and over what ever happend, but unlike the tatto which is only skin deep, the emotional scares are just skin deep they are a bithc to forget about. I wrote a shitload.
