| Having said that he "flipped out", the title and the "full of holes" line (and the Bauby theme) suggest that the guy has been shot. | |

A great song of despair. I can't understand myself, and when I look around for clues I find I can't understand anyone else either. A very very Wire-esque track. (Wire are a great band.) "They got scared" - I flipped out. "...what it is I've done wrong" - the "Why me?!" we shout when something really bad happens to us. "Blink your eyes" - compare the story of Jean-Dominique Bauby and "Locked-in Syndrome". "Move back home, a pale imitation" - discharged but uncured, we have to rebuild our world as best we can. Coldplay and Keane stole Radiohead's old clothes, so it's only fair that Thom's taken them back. Musically this song reminds me more of early Human League; the vocals remind me strongly of Dimbodius. Meaningwise, the song is a bit of a Morrissey mope, but Thom and co pull it off beautifully. Great stuff indeed. |

| Napalm Death – All Intensive Purposes Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| The title is a phrase which is often used by mistake instead of the correct "all intents and purposes". I assume the band know this and thought it'd make a good rock title. | |
