I love this song. I can't stop listening to it. I wish I could find out what the lady is saying, perhaps it would add meaning to the lack of rythm. But I still love the whole joint. The album for me, is a little empty. But I respect the creative aspects. I must be one of those narrow minded bafoons. |

That is a broken question. I think The Mars Volta is the better of the groups, simply because the sound they produce is not only new, but cutting edge. While sparta is no doubt unique, it's not exactly rare...ya know? |

I think I have an idea what this song is about. Al Sirat is, I think, the Islamic path (a razor sharp bridge) to paradise. The Padisha is the title for king, possibly middle eastern. Demimonde lice would be woman who are socialy removed because of sexual misconduct. Ataxia refers to fatigued mucsles, and opiate copulation refers to drugged intercourse. I think the song is actually talking about the sin of premarital sex. You revoke your chances to enter paradise, unless you are like the eunuch. that is where the bridge to paradise hides, in his clothing. The nasty sores of Ataxia, could be v.d. so now you must be drugged before sexual contact, only to get crabs again. It's a tricky situation, you want to hve sex before marraige, but for some thats almost impossible. I think I'm getting close to the meaning here, any other ideas. |

Yikes, this song is mad ill. I'm gonna miss that raw punk sound, but this makes up for it. I don't know if these guys got any beef or any thing, but the song sounds like their leaving all the stumbling blocks behind (including Omar and Cedric)and continueing to mature. |
