I think this song is about wanting salvation (to be saved) from God. The title word does mean a tight encircling band applied around an arm or leg in an emergency to stop severe arterial bleeding that cannot be controlled in any other way. However, here I think it is to be taken as a metafore (don't think I spelled that right...oh well) for wanting the "bandage"of God's grace to heal the pain and suffering in life. |

This song is absolutely beatiful. I think the meaning is obvious. However, to me it is about a couple splitting...but she can't let go of him even though he hasn't been there for her (in the relationship) for a while anyway. She just can't let go. I definatly know what that feels like. Her voice just makes the emotion multiply! |
