I love alk3 cuz they can sing an entire song about a metaphor... they don't explain themselves n that makes it fun! It's def about finding someone, in my opinion, and this is why... "So where are u, my little needle?" (he means it's hard to find his soulmate, like finding a needle in a haystack) "The stack's been burned away" (all his chances of finding her are gone) "but I'm so inebriated that I cannot see three feet in front of me" (he's so drunk/high that he'll never be able to find his needle in the haystack) "Between the moon and you, lunacy is setting in" (he's going crazy, still looking for her) what do u guys think? |

I def think that this is about somebody on drugs... just picture somebody with a "sleepy smile"- they look like their high! It touches on hallucinations n the fact that their world is different from reality... n it seems like the person's friend is trying to help him get over the drugs... I've never really been into drugs, but I still love the meaning of this song...good stuff! |

There's a place that means a lot to this guy... and it might be the top of a building, or a hill, or at the end of a jetti on the ocean (that's my special place!) and he's telling her that it's like his thinking place... he takes her there and says "here you can be anything you want..." and he promised her that he'd take her there when they got to that *point* in their relationship where they share special stuff w/ each other... by taking her there, he's saying that he can trust her and he loves her... hmmm that's my daydream!! =) |

This is one of those songs that you really gotta think about... I've heard it so many times and I think it has to do with cheating and lying... It's got like that deep, dark tone to it, and is kinda scary at first... then you start to feel bad for this guy. He's just lookin for the truth that nobody's giving him and he's always wrong... "maybe someday I'll find me a suspect that has no alibi"- maybe someday he'll find the truth!! And he thinks that maybe she's cheating on him, but "at the right place, at the right time, I'll be dead wrong, you'll be just fine" meaning, he hopes that he'll find out that everything he's worried about is ok and she was never lying or cheating in the first place... maybe I'm wrong, but I like that meaning! It's kinda like the song "Detective" by No Doubt, only the words in that song are a little more clear.. |

I love this song!! This is what I'm thinking it means... "If you don't, don't know why'd you say so? Would you mean this, please, If it happens?" Well... have you ever delt with a person that can't make up their mind? Or maybe, have you been that person? For instance, you'll share a romantic night or even just a kiss, and the next day, when they ask you about it, you say you don't know... or that you didn't mean it... that's where they get "would you mean this, please, if it happens?" It's hard for me to listen to this song now... I went on a cruise for spring break and had the time of my life! It was truly amazing, I made so many new friends, drank, and partied the whole time... and met lots of guys... Before my trip, I told myself that I wouldn't do anything with any guys because I didn't want to hurt this guy I was with, and I really loved him... he's always meant so much to me, and still does... I didn't realize that when I went away, it would be like I was in a different world... I thought that I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about him, but I was so wrong... and I made the best of my trip, barely thinking of him once... When I got home, it was so hard for me to talk to him... I told a couple people about my little adventures in the islands, but I didn't know what to tell him... he never asked. I guess he really didn't want to know. Eventually though, I broke down and told him about everything. I told him I was so sorry and I didn't want him to be mad, even though I would be if he did that to me... I wanted to "set things right between us" and I regretted the stupid mistakes I made... He told me that he knew about it already... I'm not sure if someone told him, or he just figured it out, but he knew... I felt so mean... I'd never been the cheater, always the cheatee... and I knew how bad it felt to be cheated on... so why did I do it? Was it because I was drunk? Or because I got caught up in the moment? Maybe I wanted to see what it was like to be on the other side? I still don't know... This special guy forgave me, and told me that he understood, but things haven't really been the same since... and I guess I shouldn't expect them to be... And that's why it's so hard to listen to this song... because I'm just like the one he's singing about, the one you grow to hate so much...
