Sorry scar, but you're wrong, on both accounts. the song was sampled from Take Yo Praise by Camille Yarborough. Although it was about a certain man, it served as a message to all black people during civil rights struggles in the 70s. She only released one CD and made more money on royalties from Fatboy Slim's version than she ever did through her own sales. |

Stairway was written by Paige. Though he would only let Plant sing it, even if there was a time when it would be played and Plant wasn't there, Paige would play the whole thing as an instrumental. What you may be confusing that with is the intro to the song was not created my Zeppelin. It was borrowed from the song "Taurus" by Spirit, a group that toured with Zeppelin. |

as i believe, this is not a tribute to stairway. When they were first playing it in concert they introduced the song as "This is the greatest and best song in the world" and started playing stairway to heaven so everyone would think that's what they thought the greatest song is. but after they got everyone thinking that they went off the normal song and went into their own. |
