| After Forever – Mea Culpa Lyrics | 21 years ago |

After doing some searching, I discovered that the lyrics of this song are actually part of the traditional Rosary. 'Mea Culpa' means 'My Fault' in Latin (in the sense of 'I am to blame'). The song translates to something like this: Oh my Jesus, dismiss our debts/guilts save us from the fire below, lead to heaven all souls, especially those, who need your mercy the most As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, forever and ever |

| Madder Mortem – Necropol Lit Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| According to the band: "Necropol is the city of the dead, in Greek. I think of it as huge stone buildings with rough slabs. A city for dead people is a very cruel irony: putting all that effort into building a town that no one will ever live in. Waste. Doing so much for absolutely nothing." | |
| My Dying Bride – The Dreadful Hours Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
I believe this song is about a small boy who is mistreated by his father. He thinks himself a terrible son. One night, his father goes too far and finally beats him to death. When his mother sees what has happened, she begs in vain for her son to wake up but it's too late. He is already gone. I agree, one of the best songs I've ever heard. Very bleak. |
