Think about it. he's a crackhead (thats if he really IS a rockstar). but he's not gonna proclaim it in an interview, or he'd lose all his granny-fans. this song is about this guy who loved this girl and people who disliked her said the guy was 'throwing himself to the wolves' and eventually the relationship ended because he was weak and succumbed to the pressure of his friends even though he really loved her. now she hates him becuase he hurt her so much and she is moving on and he hates himself for letting her go. he believes she's gone forever and the only way she might ever think of him again is if she happened to read her diary back to the period of the relationship. something like "he broke up with me today i hate him" <---- (line in her book)
